Q and A
So Gyasi, it seems you have a great outlook in life.
So what is your whole business about? Yes, well basically my business is a company focused on personal development/self-improvement. I really had a huge turnaround after high school, and people amounted me to nothing during that time, and now, I am happy. I want to teach other people how to do the same thing. The name of my company is Elite Inner Power. It’s just that. Everyone has amazing potential inside of them, and I help whoever is willing to unlock that immense power and be successful however it means to them. I really like to reach out to others.
I knew there had to be some way I could help others experience the changes I made inside myself to be where I am in my life. Not only did I change my thinking, but my health improved as well as how I handle certain situations. I‘ve always wanted to do my own thing because I really feel that my job prevents me from serving the world. I also wanted to prove that I’m not a nobody, a failure. So I began to change who I surround myself with. And one day I got started….
What kind of hobbies or interests are you into? Sports, break dancing, producing music…..I guess what every other 20 year old is doing! Haha, Well I really love music and dance; they are my heart and soul. I like to have fun in general, but work hard when it comes to work. I play table tennis. I LOVE different cultures. The foods, the dancing, the films, the tradition, I am really fond of people who are culturally rich. I currently am learning Japanese and Chinese…. Well Japanese first, and no I am not that good yet!
21 is around the corner, anything special planned? Actually I am traveling overseas to Japan and celebrating my birthday over there. I’ve always wanted to go to Japan…… and everywhere else. I want to see it all and do it all. I can’t wait. I am going by myself, but I am determined to have a good time, and hopefully meet cool people over there.
Japan huh? You trying to meet a culturally-rich woman? Hahaha…..maybe.
You like music. What kind of music are you into? What kind of music do you produce? I like ALL music. IDM, bluegrass, rock, jazz, world, pop, soul, rap, hip hop, African, world, cpop, kpop, jpop, ppop, vpop whatever. I actually think I like sound in general. Any arrangement of sounds. Also the kind of mood music can put you in, it is very powerful, it can make you cry, get angry, violent, peaceful, etc. It’s crazy. I don’t own CD’s because I like all music and sound, so I get enough variety of music throughout my day anyway. My music is undefined at times. Sometimes it sounds like music that should be in a movie scene, sometimes it sounds like a straight up rap beat, sometimes it is very emotional because at that time I created that music it was a direct expression of my feelings at that certain time. So when I listen to it in the future I remember my heart felt feelings at that time almost like a music journal.
Ever considered signing on a record label? Everyone tells me I should, but right now I just don’t feel I’m ready. Hahaha I guess I’m not that confident in my music. Plus, sometimes pressure from doing it as a job can interfere with the natural production of the music. It’s not like I can sit down and boom - just serve out rhythms. Ideas come to me at random times. And sometimes I might be halfway done with one, and decide to erase it completely. Maybe one day I will sign with a label, but right now I just enjoy doing if for fun.
What are some of your dislikes? I don’t focus on negative stuff, just positive. I like people for who they are to me, not for all the stuff that may be "wrong" with them, because in reality everybody has issues. I choose not to have any dislikes. Besides, there’s got to be a balance. You have to have the cold stubborn people to balance out with the warm-hearted caring ones - like Yin and Yang.
How do you feel you are viewed upon given your age? Well, I’m always told that I appear to be a 17 year old kid who knows nothing. I have grown accustom to adults looking down on me and giving me wise wisdom on life and how to live life, but I respect that. I have created my business in a way that allows me to not be judged based upon my young looks or age, but rather on what I know. Most people who have read my book think I am much older. Hahaha, but that’s okay. I really don’t let my age stop me.
Well thank you for your time Gyasi. Last question, what would you like to say to those reading this right now? Hey how you doing? If you are reading this, go for it. Whatever you got your sights on, do it. I do not matter right now. It’s all about you. Do it now! If you have doubts on whether or not you are ready, YOU ARE READY! Your mind has already shifted onto the next task, goal, or mission. That is all you need to get started. You have all the skills inside of you. Don’t waste any time.
Follow your heart, always. All the great things that have been accomplished such as the light bulb, or the automobile, were done on gut feeling. That is the one true link to the universe that is telling you that you are ready for your greatness and contribution to the world. If a goofy, clumsy, and ADHD diagnosed person such as myself can you do it, you definitely can too!
Thank you. Well, maybe I will see you somewhere sometime in the future! Much peace, respect, love, prosperity, and may your Elite Inner Power guide you to your own defined success!
